This interactive workshop will leave you feeling comfortable with and excited about the idea of communicating science basics in plain English to policy makers. You’ll hear from science communication and policy experts Jana Goldman, Aaron Goldner and Joe Romm, and have a chance to practice crafting and delivering a message unique to your work. You must be registered for the Science Policy Conference to be eligible attend this workshop. Applications open Thursday, 3 April.
Participation is limited to scientists who want to learn how to more effectively communicate their research, as opposed to policy professionals, journalists, or other professional communicators. AGU strives for diversity in its workshops and will take gender, geography, scientific experience, and career level into account when accepting applications.
Photography and recording (audio and/or video) is not allowed at this workshop and the material presented at this workshop may not be published in any online or print publications (except by AGU staff).
