Bio

Ann Codrington joined EPA in 1992, working in the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act program working on policies and regulations related to medical waste, hazardous waste generation, hazardous waste recycling, and transportation.  She has been with the Office of Water, Office of Ground Water Drinking Water, Drinking Water Protection Division since 2001.   Ann has served as Associate Chief of the Targeting and Analysis Branch in the Standards and Risk Management Division and as Chief of the Prevention Branch in DWPD, where she led development of guidance and regulations for geologic sequestration under the UIC program.  Ann has been the Acting Director of the Division since mid-2010.

Ann has a BA degree from Wesleyan University and a MS degree from Johns Hopkins University.    She was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho where she taught high school and worked on food  production/elementary schools.
