Bio

Peter Colohan is a Senior Policy Analyst at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where he has served since 2010 as a specialist in strategic planning for domestic and international collaboration in Earth science and Earth observations.  From 2003 to 2007, he facilitated the creation of the intergovernmental Group on Earth Observations (GEO), an intergovernmental body based in Geneva, Switzerland, involving over 80 governments, five UN agencies, and more than 50 international organizations.  He went on to work as an advisor and program management specialist at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration from 2007 to 2010.  He holds degrees in government and international affairs from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and American University in Washington, DC.
