June 26, 2013 8:30 am - 10:00 am

As global temperatures and sea levels continue to rise, the urgency to address a shifting climate – both in the United States and around the world – becomes imperative. Join us for a conversation with AGU Presidential Citation for Science and Society award winners James Balog, founder of the Extreme Ice Survey, and Richard Harris, science correspondent for National Public Radio. They will discuss how a changing climate is already impacting our world, and what is expected in the future. Their conversation will be punctuated by footage of Balog’s Extreme Ice Survey, which documents the extraordinary retreat of glaciers in the Northern Hemisphere with captivating imagery.
